I enjoy working at the begining to intermediate level for children as I get to introduce the earliest piano musical skills and I usually spend thirty minutes on teaching piano practice methods and thirty minutes on music theory skills. My teen and adult students normally work out of and Adult All in One series. For more advanced piano students Ill work repertoire, theory and scales/technique as needed/desired by the student. Music is deeply personal; one must get to know each student's own personality, interests, and connections to music. Early on (both in the teaching relationship and in each lesson) one must assess where the student is, as to technical and musical growth, and with the music at hand. Then one finds, models, explains and encourages the next steps the student can achieve. Clear guidance and dialogue about what will happen outside the studio (listening, practice, rehearsal, performance) helps turn the weekly cycle of lessons into an upward spiral of progress, achievement, and reward. I was teaching children age from 8-14 at Municipal Higher Education Establishment of Choreographic Arts and also give private vocal lessons to students from age 25-68. I love working with beginners because they are open for new experience and ready to receive information. I am a super passionate and motivated music educator who loves working with students all ages. I graduated from Albright College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Industry Studies. My major encompasses all aspects of the music industry including business, entertainment law, education, songwriting, and music theory.
