I have been playing the piano almost all my life. The passion I have for music of all kinds is contagious. My parents were opera singers, I grew up in a Latin American setting, and I performed with a symphony orchestra at the age of 13. I have taught piano to students of all levels and ages. I find this method helps the student with dependency of string books and helps to harbor curiosity to the vast world of music and methods beyond one book. I have been giving private music lessons for the past 10 years to students of all age groups. I am always looking to broaden the minds of aspiring beginners and the advanced players who seek to further their musical odyssey's.  I enjoy all genres of music. To summarize the above statement, part of my attitude and approach to teaching is that---while I certainly don't have anything against other beloved method books, such materials and such don't make you a better teacher. Over time, with a bit of studying, trial and error, the most experienced teacher will eventually come to appreciate and employ his/her own method without relying so heavily on any given editor or publisher to teach the students FOR you.
