I have been teaching since I graduated Peabody Conservatory in 2006. Upon graduating I traveled throughout Europe and the USA teaching and performing for both churches and productions both classical and musical theatre. Recognizing that each student is unique, i.e., their instruments, learning styles, mental and emotional make-up, etc., I need to be flexible in how I work with each student. There is no one-size-fits-all! I work to understand each student's learning style and adapt my teaching accordingly. I ask a lot of questions, asking the student to think about their own learning style, what they are experiencing, hearing, and feeling. This not only gives me cues on how to better adapt my teaching style to them, but gets them thinking about what they are doing and reinforces their learning, which in turn helps them in their own practice by starting to become their own best teacher. For piano students ages 5-9, I generally use the Faber and Faber Piano Adventures series. For piano ages 10-12 I use the Older Beginner series. My teen and adult students normally work out of and Adult All in One series. For more advanced piano students Ill work repertoire, theory and scales/technique as needed/desired by the student. For voice, I tailor the lessons to the students age, interest and ability. Read More

I am a self taught musician who started learning in my teen years. I graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2021. I have been performing since a young age, starting on drums, and then guitar and voice. I am interested in many genres of music, including traditional, blues, folk, rock and punk. I graduated with honors (Magna Cum Laude) from Berklee college of Music in Interdisciplinary Music Studies and Music Composition for films and games. I play and teach India drums.
