I received a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from Cleveland State University in 2018 and became a board-certified music therapist in January of 2019. After initial skills and/or vocal health assessments, I choose repertoire and books for them based upon their abilities, age, and musical interests. While I think that vocalises and technical exercises are important to the learning process, I believe it is essential for students to be singing and playing music that they are passionate about at all times. I proceeded on teaching music in a wonderful camp to students ranging from 5 to 14 years old and the most memorable moments were the closing ceremony performances. I was so proud, moved, and deeply touched by the performances. Realizing how much my students had progressed and most importantly it was very powerful to recognize how much they gained confidence in themselves. Moreover, I had the honor of teaching vocal feminization, masculinization and androgyny to 16 - 40 year old students.

I've been teaching guitar for the past 12 years, and more recently bass, ukulele, piano/keys, voice, percussion and studio recording as well. I have taught students ranging from child to adult, as well as working for two years as a caretaker with mentally challenged and special needs individuals. I am a Classical linguist turned Vocal Performer and choral conductor who believes that active participation in music improves quality of life for all ages. This belief comes from a life-time of musical learning and performance spanning violin lessons at the age of 4 all the way to singing on stage with the Cleveland Orchestra, Akron Symphony, Canton Symphony, and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestras to name a few, as well as a paid vocalist with many fine choral ensembles in the NE Ohio area, including the Summit Choral Society Masterworks Chorale, the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, Akron Symphony Chorus, and the Cleveland Singers' Club of the Western Reserve Chorale.
