My name is Rowanne, and I have graduated in Voice - Performance from Berklee College of Music. Coming from the struggling yet revolutionary country of Lebanon, I have found healing in expression and performance. Finding my voice constituted the foundation of my artistic journey as a singer, dancer and actor. That is why my aim in life is to help others liberate themselves and find their own voice. I love singing in various languages such as Arabic, Greek, French, English, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, as I am deeply drawn by the mixing of different genres of music from all around the world. Throughout my artistic journey, I found that music plays a crucial role in advocating for peace and unity, as it is the quintessential manifestation of the power found in diversity, and this is what I want to bring forth as an instructor.
I have been an instructor for two years now and I have fallen in love with teaching. I started in college where I taught Music to young students as a volunteer. They taught me more than I was able ever able to teach them. They each brought their individual special spark through their voice and opened my eyes to new creative sounds and ways that the voice is able to express itself. I proceeded on teaching music in a wonderful camp to students ranging from 5 to 14 years old and the most memorable moments were the closing ceremony performances. I was so proud, moved, and deeply touched by the performances. Realizing how much my students had progressed and most importantly it was very powerful to recognize how much they gained confidence in themselves. Moreover, I had the honor of teaching vocal feminization, masculinization and androgyny to 16 - 40 year old students. The LGBT Community is one of the most empowering communities in the world as it is resilient in the face of hardship and constantly vibrating with strength, passion and love.
The voice keeps on growing, changing and developing throughout our lifetime. My goal is for you to express your voice and let it be heard from deep within. My aim is to be there, every single step of the way, as your ultimate support, to make your dream come true and your voice come to life. Depending on what the student’s goal is, I will work accordingly. However, my sessions will be structured in the following way: - Teaching Vocal Technique that I have mastered during my studies at Berklee - Having the student sing and perform the tunes chosen by him/her/them. Crafting and recording the best musical repertoire for the student.
My teaching style is based on love, patience, kindness and understanding. My priority is to create a safe space for students so that they can express themselves freely and authentically. The most important aspect is to make learning a fun, enjoyable and fulfilling process by understanding the student and listening to what they want to accomplish. In order to understand the student and make this session an enjoyable one, I always use this technique of knowing what type of learner I'm working with: We have four main types of learners: visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic. 1.) Visual learning (music videos, movies, diagrams) 2.) Auditory learning (music, discussion, lectures) 3.) Reading and writing (making lists, reading poems, songwriting) 4.) Kinesthetic learning (movement, experiments, hands-on activities)
Rowanne is very enthusiastic and she teaches very well. My daughter likes her a lot.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
Are you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
