My experience with vocal coaching started when I was a young girl helping to teach my church's choir parts for songs we had to learn. Once I went to college I joined the Gospel Chorale at Virginia State University where I helped guide the alto section for a month long European Christmas tour. He  is the head of the Instrumental department at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington DC. He pretty much sparked the idea of education in music for me.
