I am a passionate artist and teacher who loves working with students and helping them become the best musicians they can be! I graduated from Oklahoma City Universitys Wanda L. Bass School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre and a Bachelor of Music in Opera Vocal Performance. I have studied voice, music theory, piano and vocal pedagogy extensively. Hi! Im Kate! I am a jazz vocalist and instrumentalist and teacher from Houston TX. I started my musical journey at Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual arts where I concentrated my studies in flute, but ultimately fell in love with singing. I am a 2019-2022 Downbeat Magazine Student Music Award Winner, a 2018 2019 YoungArts Winner in jazz voice, and I've performed at various venues including the 2018 Newport Jazz Festival, 2022 SXSW Festival, and the world renowned Birdland Jazz Club in New York City.
