I'm Jasmine, but you can call me Jas or Jassie! I'm a performer local to the San Francisco Bay Area, and I love helping other vocalists achieve their vocal goals. I started teaching piano in 2016 then realized I loved teaching my primary instrument, voice. As a Filipina-American, karaoke was very common at my family parties. My love of music from a young age led me to get my Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance in 2021 and pursue my Master's degree in Vocal Performance this coming fall. Read More

I use Suzuki as a push off point for violinists. But I will teach anything a musician would like to learn and have music for almost all styles. I usually will begin vocalists with any song they are interested in learning and can recommend books more tailored to their needs and goals upon meeting. Read More

Vocal coaching as a profession is quite new to me because until just recently I've always focused on my own development as a performer and artist, however, I've often assisted my fellow co-artists, classmates, bandmates, and even friends with improving vocal technique and performance quality. In my college classes, we were encouraged to provide feedback about a classmates performance and I absolutely loved when they would apply my advice and everyone saw a significant improvement in performances thereafter. Instruments: Piano Voice Ukulele Keyboard
My teaching style nurtures the students love of the instrument while tossing in technical details along the way! Especially when beginning a new instrument, acknowledging goals that a student has, or songs they would like to learn to perform is essential to helping that initial eagerness to continue throughout lessons, and to help the student feel accomplished in their instrument. Together, the student and I will set realistic goals for them in their instrument to complete songs, technical aspects, warm ups, etc. and I will help them to achieve those goals. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Organ Synthesizer Keyboard
In piano lessons, I'll provide highly valuable instruction and guidance on the key aspects of playing the piano: interpreting a piece of music accurately and with artistic expressiveness, improving technical ability, learning methods for efficient fingering and effective pedaling technique, developing greater control over emphasis, dynamics, and timing, and even strategies for physically improving and safely caring for your hands, fingers, and forearms. If you are a beginner and aren't sure what all those things mean or if they would apply to you, that's fine too. Read More
