Hi! I am a voice and piano teacher. I am originally from CA and moved to NY to complete my degree in music education at Hofstra University. After I graduated, I stayed to complete my masters degree at Teachers College, Columbia University. My primary instrument is voice, secondary piano. I started teaching when I was about 15 years old, I lead a dance group and choreographed a 50 min show about african heritage in North and South American cultures. It was a big project and it helped me realize how much I loved teaching. From then on I've taught several subjects from dance, to Spanish and voice lessons. Seven years ago my career as a musical theatre actor led me into the world of teaching and for that, I could not be more grateful. I have a great deal of experience working as both a voice teacher and a musical theatre teaching artist. As a voice teacher I have taught with Kathryn Brickell Music, Acting Out- Brooklyn's Premiere Acting School, as well as my own private studio. My method of teaching is centered around building technique and encouraging hard work, all whilst finding the inspiration within and keeping my students excited to learn.  In the first lesson, I have the student bring me a list of goals and then prepare future lessons individually tailored to their needs.  I teach vocal and breathing technique, repertoire and interpretation.  I also provide exercises that help tackle performance anxiety for those that need help with this common problem.  For my jazz students, I also offer the opportunity to learn improvisation and scatting.  Read More

I have also given masterclasses at Shenandoah University, Brigham Young University, The Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, Philadelphia School of the Arts and Boston Conservatory.
