Ive been teaching consistently for 10 years now. I taught all ages, from kindergarten kids to people over 60, kids with special needs, one on one classes, ensembles, full classrooms, and high school. If there's one thing that I learned throughout my career is that very student has a unique voice, so every voice needs to be approached in a unique way. After graduating from Hofstra University in 2014, I have had the opportunity to work in regional theatre and recording in and out of NY. I am currently an EMC working towards getting my Actors Equity union membership. I have the honor of having Broadway star Robert Cuccioli as a musical theatre acting coach, as well as renowned musical theatre coach Stephen Purdy. I believe it is important for voice and piano students to have a basic understanding of music theory, as well as technique. I pull material from a variety of sources. For piano, I typically use Bastien and/ or Hal Leonard. We will spend time working on basic notes, rhythms, and ear-training in addition to vocalizing and learning songs to help develop and reinforce what we learn in our exercises. This past summer I was selected as one of 18 young artists for the Up North Vocal Institute, a highly selective opera performance program with applicants all around the world. I have also played trumpet for the Marching Band, Big Band, Baroque Ensemble, and was the principal trumpet of the Moravian College Community Orchestra. I have over 30 years combined experience on my instruments, I have 21 private lesson students in voice and piano, and I was accepted to go to New England Conservatory to get my master’s in Vocal Performance in Opera.
