My passion for music was born from a very young age thanks to my family who all perform music. My training begins at age 9, when I receive a scholarship from the prestigious Julio Bocca institution to do musical comedy training. For beginning students who are ages 8-13 will first use the Standard of Excellence red book and then they will transfer to the blue book. Intermediate and Advance will use the Foundations for superior performance book. We will start to pick solos that they are able to play and work on them. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. I started teaching privately in 2010 as part of a class assignment, and discovered I really enjoy doing it. I also love teaching and conducting choirs and have done that in various capacities for the past several years. I really believe that singing in choir is the best vocal training for young students. Choral singing and solo singing do not have to be opposite worlds! Both can be done healthily, and I like helping students discover this, or even just discover a new hobby. Read More

I graduated in 2014 with my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Utah State University and, in 2018, my Master of Music in Choral Conducting from the University of Kansas. I had the opportunity to be a part of the Chamber Singers at both schools where I was able to perform across Utah as well as Dallas, Kansas City, China and Costa Rica.
