Hello, Ive been teaching in Broward County since 2001. I have my BA and MA from FAU where I studied piano with Judith Burganger and voice with Susan Dorchin. Before that I studied piano with Harold Brown. Ive been trained in the area of performance and that is my specialty. However I also had overcome a medical issue using music so I am also quite proficient in music as medicine. My teaching style is based on traditional classical approach of Russian Piano teaching method. For younger, beginner level student lessons are structured around different activities and games (for very young students) to learn notes reading and rhythm. For intermediate and more advanced students each lesson starts with a warm up, of scales, arpeggios, etudes or other technical pieces. After that we move onto working on individual pieces of music. Student is explained what needs to be done to achieve desired results for each specific piece, and the homework is written in a notebook for the following lesson. Read More

I have over 15 years of experience teaching guitar and voice to students from 4 – 73 years old. During the last two years I began teaching ukulele to children as young as 4years old. I am currently teaching mostly school age children, adolescents and adults. As a music therapist I have used guitar lessons as a therapeutic intervention to improve cognitive functioning in older adults.
