I graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance and a Teaching Certificate in K-12 Vocal Music. I also hold a Master of Music degree from the University of Maryland. Aside from my credentials, I possess a wealth of knowledge and experience in teaching vocal and piano technique, embodied in an approachable, humorous and joyful presence. In 2010, I graduated from the first degree granting Historically Black Institution, The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Vocal Performances and a minor in piano performance. I have taught private voice lessons for well over a decade in various genres from classical to contemporary. I earned a Doctorate in Musical Arts in Voice Pedagogy from Shenandoah Conservatory.
