This was a lot to handle, but I loved every second of it. Seeing and being a part of a student's progress is one of the most rewarding things I have experienced in my life. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. I have been teaching for almost 20 years and have taught people as young as four years old to amateur adults, as well as from beginners to highly advanced pre-conservatory students, and people from all different backgrounds. Music is such a personal journey for each person, and my teaching philosophy is centered around what the student needs and wants. Since I started learning the violin at the age of seven, I have had a range of experiences that have cultivated my sense of leadership and empathy. I have been a part of a variety of different youth orchestras growing up and this constant exposure to working with my peers have allowed me to develop strong skills in teamwork and communication.
