For 2 to 4 year old students, I use Mozart mouse series. For 4 to 6 years old students, I usually use Faber series and older students, I like to use Basien series. For violin, I start with Suzuki method and as they progress I add wolfhart, scale and solos for young violinists by barber. I also like organize group lessons so that my students have chance to polish their pieces and gave opportunity to work with other musicians. Read More

I have helped students achieve their goals as young as 4 years old and into their college years! I am trained in the Suzuki Method, but I also feel comfortable teaching any preference and learning style. I particularly enjoy teaching younger musicians and have focused my work on beginner students, as young as preschool. However, because of my extensive performing experience, I have been able to see many of my students into universities where they have continued to play the violin at top levels. Read More

I am a classically trained violinist. I enjoy helping my students to improve and bringing out their full potential. At the age of 15, I was offered scholarship by the British Government's Music and Dance Scheme to study at a music high school, the Purcell School of Music in the UK with Berent Korfker, who was also a professor at Royal College of Music. After spending 5 years at Berlin University of the Arts (one of Europe’s most premier classical music & arts conservatories) earning my Bachelor of Music degree under Latica Honda-Rosenberg, I received full scholarship to study at the Yale School of Music with Hyo Kang. Instruments: Violin Fiddle

When teaching fiddle I teach students starting on simple tunes that we learn by ear and memorize. With a few standard well known tunes down I use those to demonstrate more of the nuances of fiddle performance. The process of learning fiddle is a simultaneous process of learning how to pick up tunes quickly by ear and play them idiomatically so there is not much in the way of text that I use in the actual lessons however I will recommend readings depending on how much the student is interested in that, otherwise we mostly have a fun time playing fiddle Music Theory I teach using the standard AP music theory text and the Kostka Tonal harmony book or other textbooks that the student is using from their classes. I have 8 years of teaching experience. Actually I was very busy performing but I found some time to deliever this passion of mine to the young generations because they are the real future, for a better world. How we can achieve this? By making them being in contact with music, with arts, literature, nature and by teaching them how to love their families and friends! Only this way the world will be a better place to live for the next generations. Read More

Easy Piano Rock Songs: Six Rock Classics You Should Play On Piano

...Frey.   Why You Should Learn To Play This Song On the Piano   Like “Hey Jude,” this is a song that lives and dies by the vocal lines. If you “clunk” out the tune in a mechanical way, your audience will cringe (and maybe die). Listen to Don Henley’s vocals and get a feel for his inflections and emphasis. Then take that emotion to the keyboard and come up with some of your own phrasing ideas. Imagine you’re a vocalist (if you’re not already singing along), and write in breath marks where a singer would need to breathe. This ... Read More

Although the trumpet did manage to maintain its place of prominence, the fact remains that without the influence of the cornet, trumpet players would have likely continued trying to play modern music on the large F and G trumpets of the day. German trumpeter A. Reading Music and Reading Words Are Very Similar

...same amount of time that it would take them to move over a quarter note in the same piece, provided that the music is flowing at the same rate, of course.   It can take a long time to develop this skill. Most of the time, theory professors will teach students singing to help them develop the skill necessary to sight read. There is something about actually learning to sing that helps a lot of students learn how to read music. Of course, this likely has to do with the same effect that happens when children learn how to read. They already know how to speak, and all they ... Read More
