In 1994 Oleg Rutkovsky immigrated to USA and settled in Fort Lee, NJ. He made his American debut recital in Memphis, TN in 1995. Since 1994 he performed with such orchestras as New Jersey Symphony, Albany Symphony, New York Virtuosi Chamber Symphony, New Philharmonic of New Jersey, Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra, Bachanalia Chamber Ensemble and appeared in a few Broadway productions such "Ragtime" and "Music Man". With Violin Students, I like to start with the Suzuki method, Hal Leonard's Essential Elements, as well as some basic 1 octave scales. The first book of Suzuki is taught mainly by ear, while in the background I am also teaching rhythm with the Essential Elements material. I have been teaching private violin lessons since I was high school student. I have also taught private and group/string orchestra with the Atlanta Music Project and Chapel Hill Middle School in Atlanta, Georgia. Most recently, I worked with Lessons in Your Home in Miami, Florida. As a college student, I performed in various gigs in the Atlanta area. Once the students has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce some repertoire they can perform. For adults, I try to find out what music the students are interested in and as teaching basic skills, I will teach music what they would like to perform.
