My teaching experience dates back to my school days, as I began teaching private lessons part time ,from 2003,and have been consistently teaching students in my home and at students homes, for the last 10 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for the younger students, as it tends to help the student progress. Thanks to my studying of violin teaching methodology,I found that, there’s no ideal formula of teaching violin to everyone, the same way ,as ,there’s no ideal magor or minor scale, for practicing only that technique to achieve the best result, as people have defferent cultural and musical backgrounds, so student should enjoy the lesson and have fun while learning . For intermediate students, I incorporate short concertos such as Vivaldi, Bach, and Haydn. In addition, etudes and scale practice with arpeggios are the basis for technique improvement. Other teaching materials may include Carl Flesch scale system, Hřmal scales, evčk, Wohlfahrt, Kreutzer, and Vieuxtemps. My curriculum is individualized to each students ability and interest. After earning my Masters Degree in Education, I enjoyed 10 years of teaching 7th to 12th grade students in public schools. I have performed throughout the country as a classical, jazz and contemporary vocalist before opening my own recording studio in 2014. For all of my students, I let them pick a song (vocal) or piece (violin) that they would like to sing or play. This way I can analyze what level they are on. For my voice students, I start with vocal warm-up exercises of the different vowels. It helps me to understand their range as well as tone of voice. For my violin students, I usually stick with the Suzuki Method, or Essential Elements books, if they are in the more beginning stages. Read More
