           I base my lessons around the student, not a cookie cutter method. I look for three crieteria: a student's interests, ability level, and time they have to practice. I am very interested in what the student thinks of the lessons, and ask for feedback frequently. I encourage them to bring their own ideas and songs into the lessons. I am very keen on review; if someone doesn't understand what we did last week, they won't progress to what we are doing now. Read More

I want to push the student to work hard, but would never give them more than they can handle. I want my students to love music and look forward to practicing each day. I usually start my violin students with Essential Elements books, and draw some technical points of beginning lessons from Suzuki method.  I like to start students on a real piece of music as soon as possible so they can get a sense of accomplishment sooner than later. For adults, I am more flexible and will ask what it is they would like to learn, then I will use many of the same beginning techniques tailored for their own musical goals. Read More

For beginners, I always start with Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. I typically will work with the student from the Suzuki Violin Method books and also will choose a scale book based on the student's progress. I often prefer for beginning students to play from the Hrimaly Scale Book. Later down the line, students can choose pieces that they are interested in, but I am always an advocate of classical pieces for fundamental training. Read More

I studied guitar with international performing artist Anna Maria Rosado and composition with American composer Annette Le Siege.  I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Guitar Performance from New Jersey City University.  I have performed extensively in small venues throughout Vermont, and was a house musician for several seasons at the Yosemite Theater in Yosemite National Park, California.
