As I teach a wide variety of instruments, I can only give a short explanation on each instruments road map, However! My classical strings students will all be started in the Essential Elements book 1. Upon completion of said book, all strings students will then move to the Suzuki books to step from beginner to intermediate strings player. Should the student grow bored of said books, I also provide a plethora of outside material to create fun challenges with more familiar music (pop tunes, video game music, easy arrangements of orchestral works, etc.) if the need arise! For beginning students I usually start with Essential Elements 2000 for strings because it helps them get familiarized with the notes on the music staff even when they don't have any music theory knowledge. I also like to use Suzuki as they progress with the instrument and know the essentials like how to hold the instrument properly and how to hold the bow properly. Suzuki is also for beginners but it has a little more complex exercises which is why I wait to introduce Suzuki to them. Read More
