Other operatic role experience of mine includes ensemble member and Adele (cover) in Die Fledermaus, Jenny Slade in Roman Fever, and Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflte at Carnegie Mellon. I have also performed as a soloist with the Carnegie Mellon University choir and the CMU Singers chamber group. You cannot expect to learn a music skill and be able to use it without practice. This is like a marathon runner who cannot expect to run far without training. Much of the frustration students find when it comes to improvement comes from the misunderstanding that something learned in music stays learned. For beginning students, I typically start with my method based on a combination of the Suzuki method, a base of the European School, and my intuition and vision of each student. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. I have been a part of a variety of different youth orchestras growing up and this constant exposure to working with my peers have allowed me to develop strong skills in teamwork and communication.
