I began teaching beginner piano when I was in middle school and caught the teaching bug! (My dad was a high school choir teacher for thirty-five years, so I must have caught it from him.) When we learn how to speak, we also learn how to read and write in our language. I believe that the same is important for music. I use different books for adults and children.
