For intermediate students, I incorporate short concertos such as Vivaldi, Bach, and Haydn. In addition, etudes and scale practice with arpeggios are the basis for technique improvement. Other teaching materials may include Carl Flesch scale system, Hřmal scales, evčk, Wohlfahrt, Kreutzer, and Vieuxtemps. My curriculum is individualized to each students ability and interest. For beginner students, I like to work on positioning the instrument, proper bow hold, and simple string crossing exercises. A great beginners book is the quick steps to note reading. I believe beginner students should be practicing with this book every day. When they are ready to start learning pieces, I really like to use the Suzuki books. This works for both young beginners and adult beginners. For students who are more advanced, I am adamant about them practicing scales and etudes. Read More

I am a fun and easy-going instructor and I love working with people. In 2015, I graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a Bachelor of Music degree in Viola Performances. Asides from viola, I also play piano and drums at local churches. I currently teach at Edward R. Murrow High School, so I commute between Brooklyn and Queens and am willing to teach in both areas.
