I am a professional violinist with many years of experience in performing, and teaching in all areas of music. I earned my Bachelors of Music from the University of Akron and earned experience there as a Violin Teaching Assistant and Theory and History Tutor, and am currently working towards my Masters in Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy at The Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford. I would approach teaching by making sure the student is comfortable with whatever i am showing them, and trying to adapt to whatever style makes them comfortable if necessary. Setting goals for the end of each lesson is important based on their skill level and how quickly they pick up the information. My teaching experience dates back to my high school years. I started teaching at the age of 14. Being a piano instructor was one of the best jobs I ever took on. I am very passionate about music. It calms the soul, relieves stress, and has been proven to improve brain function. I taught all the way through high school, then took a break in college.
