My teaching experience is from some years ago more than 30 , because I started teaching music and violin in general since i was 18 years old, and was incredible , my students were profesional musicians but needed some first reading skills and i had to teach people older than me!! Inmediatly at the same age I was focused more in violin and piano teaching skills. As a teacher I have to encourage the daily practice and respect for the instrument, music and teacher. Read More

My lessons are tailored to every individual client, company, organization, mission statement, etc. I customize all methods and teaching styles based on clients needs. It is wonderful to be adaptive to the student due to the fact that it makes it more current with the needs at that present time and I can always teach the student on a case-by-case scenario as they need. Most students love the fact that I can teach them based on competition material, upcoming auditions, theatre production show material, etc. Read More

Following a long, fun and successful 20+ year career as a pro musician, I became a full-time music teacher. I was the founding music teacher at St. Benedict's Episcopal school in Smyrna, GA where I taught music K-8 for seven years. Then I joined The SAE School in Mableton, GA, where for the past three years I have taught K-12 music, creating a new middle school orchestra and high school Project Based Learning curriculum for music. While teaching I emphasize relaxation. Our goal is to achieve the best results with the least amount of effort. This emphasis also prevents injuries, and I've found it always improves the speed at which we learn. My teaching style is always relaxed. Gradually, as the student advances I learn how much I should expect from them and gently push them to expecting more from themselves over time. I am certainly more hard on students aiming to become professionals and play their instrument as a profession than I am on those seeking just to enjoy it as a hobby, but all of these students eventually can play the highest level of music, at their own pace. The importance of how the teacher transfers their method is dire in helping students develop and grow. Learning that each student has their own pace at learning an instrument is also very important on both sides tof the teacher and student, so using whatever to help a student grasp how to play is key. It is also very heart-warming to find out that a student used the same methods and stategies to aid in their journey of learning an instrument just like myself. Read More

I enjoy teaching all ages, and the most rewarding thing about it is when my students show improvement, take initiative to enter into the larger community (through a recital, stage performance, competition, or other activity), and achieve their goals! To inspire this I teach students at his or her own pace. With each lesson, we identify what needs work, work together on the rough spots, and determine what to practice- and how- so as that these things are no longer difficult. Read More

I began giving lessons in my 2nd semester in college. I have been able to meet people from all walks of life and given lessons to students from ages 3 to 68. I read a great amount of classical literature and study allot of history; I say this to acknowledge the fact that I don't only teach proficiency in the music discipline. I do this to feed the mind a series of intellectual thought that will help the student to question and meditate on new ideas. Read More
