I understand that it is difficult in the beginning and progress can be slow, but I encourage my students to keep chugging along. Many students feel comfortable talking through concepts and techniques while others prefer detailed written instructions in a take home journal. I joined the studio orchestra after just a year of lessons, then began teacher training and luthier (violin repair) classes in high school.
