My motto is my students create their own lesson. I formulate lesson plans off of the styles of music you are most interested in. If my student has a more "just for fun" attitude, the lesson will inevitably be a more light hearted feel. I have been playing viola for seven years and violin for nine years. I have worked with students that are in middle school up to high school. In high school, I played with the Kalamazoo Junior Symphony Orchestra in Michigan. Then I played with the Saint Mary's College String ensemble and the Notre Dame Symphony Orchestra, and went on tour with the NDSO, for a year. I graduated high school in 2017, went to Saint Mary's College at Notre Dame, IN, and I am now at Columbia Basin College in Pasco, WA. Read More

My teaching experience started in 2010 during my college freshman year when I was employed by the Music Institute of North Texas and the Carrolton Independent School District as a private violin instructor. On top of violin pedagogy, I was also employed by the University of North Texas Learning Center as a Supplemental Instructor for Music Theory. I have taken countless of chamber festival and youth symphony orchestra auditions in my years. I have had the opportunity study under the tutelage of great musicians in my years of playing that teach at the top music institutions in the country. I approach each student as an individual. Some students take things slow and steady, while others I can barely fit enough into their weekly lessons to keep them happy, and either way is just fine. My ultimate goal as a teacher is to make myself obsolete - I aim to teach my students how to learn, how to be critics of themselves for more effective practice time, and eventually, how to either need a teacher that can take them to more advanced levels, or to play without a teacher.
