I grew up as a Suzuki student, but in my professional teaching life have learned to add additional methods into lessons to supplement training. For young, beginner students, I start them off with a method book like "All for Strings," which teaches first by rote. I earned a BM degree in Music Therapy with specialized studies in Oboe Performance at Florida State University in 2014 and an MFA in Instrumental Arts from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in 2017. I have been teaching for the past 11 years and have had a full studio of 20-25 students during that time. Over the past four summers I have also directed chamber music and fiddle music camps. I specialize in starting very young children on the violin, as young as age 2, although depending on the child starting between ages 3-6 is ideal. While I was participating Edinberg festival In U.K, I had chance to share my music with young musicians and people.
