My primary instrument for the past 16+ years is trumpet; I also regularly perform on assorted brass, electric bass, and vocals. "Playing the trumpet" is a physically demanding task that requires diligent, often tedious practice to become skilled at. "Making music", on the other hand, can be done by anyone at any skill level and is lots of fun.
