Alexander H. discovered the trumpet when he was very young. Alexander graduated cum-laude with a Bachelor Degree in 1999 at the Music University in The Netherlands, Europe. Alexander also followed lessons with Ack van Rooyen, Claudio Roditi, Bobby Shew, Ruud Breuls and Tom Kirkpatrick. Use all major method and etude books. Have a large library of rare etude books on PDF as well as my own exercises I've written out. Example trumpet books for intermediate student: Arban Clarke Sachs Schlossberg Stamp Charlier Vizzutti Bai Lin Irons etc I encourage students to find music they would like to play, even if they aren't able to play immediately. I Try to get away from mechanism without joy. Everything has to be close to the music. Exercises to be actually doing them with a rhythm and time. Other than doing things musically, practicing in different times and intentions help a lot for the student to be open to play songs in different ways. Technique and theory are necessary tools.
