I am a passionate elementary school music educator who can "technically" play most instruments but trumpet was first in my heart when started playing it in 4th grade! I continued with it growing up and all the way through college where I graduated with a bachelor of science in music education K-12. I am currently in my 7th year of teaching elementary general music, chorus, beginner band. Since then, I have had the opportunity to teach all sorts of people ranging from as young as 6 years old, to 64 years old. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce more advanced method books such as J.B. In 2015, I graduated from The Juilliard School with my Bachelor of Music degree, and went on to obtain two Master of Music degrees from The Yale School of Music. Studying at Juilliard and Yale has been a challenging and inspirational experience that provided me with the opportunity to study with experienced and highly motivating professionals, and surround myself with talented, and creative musical colleagues.
