I am a young aspiring student just like those that I teach and, therefore I enjoy having fun and keeping the student engaged as I understand how hard it is to focus when beginning to play an instrument like the trumpet which may seems mundane at first. I began teaching privately in college in 2000. Since then I have maintained a studio of students in my home and in their homes. I believe focused, goal-specific practice sessions are key to developing a love for music and one's on instrument. Many of my students have earned superiors at state festivals and have won music scholarships to various schools. I strive to have each student develop individual goals for themselves and their musical experiences; whether it be simply getting better for the love of playing, or striving to perfect their skills to excel at various auditions.
