I returned to the U.S. and went back to school to get my Masters degree. I worked as a music teacher in the Bronx, N.Y. for several years. After that I worked at an electronic music studio in Hawthorne, N.Y. I also volunteered with the Seattle Music Partners where we went into schools that lost their music program and we taught students after school as their only means of connection to this art in schools. I have been teaching trumpet since 2008 where I have been giving private, in home instruction. All of my students take part in the NYSSMA festival and annually score at the top of their class. Some students have made it into the SCMEA, NYSCAME, and All-State Festivals. I am a trained classical trumpeter and I am proficient on the Bb, C, Eb, A piccolo, G Bugle, and Flugelhorn trumpets. However, if the student or parent has another book they feel would be better for their growth, I am always open to suggestions.
