In the first lessons, I explain the the beginner students the basic functionality of the instruments, the proper way to hold the instruments, how to produce a clear sound from the instruments and a Major scale ascending and descending, the one from which the first lessons or the next lessons is written. For beginners I normally use Talking Trumpet as a primary flow exercises book and Edwards-Hovey Method for Cornet or Trumpet to start the practice in articulations and fingerings in a comfortable pitch. In according with the improvement I add or change practice books. To intermediary level I certainly will apply Arban`s Complete Conservatory Method for Trumpet and some alternatives to flow exercises and technical studies.
