I am graduated with my Bachelor of Music in Music Performance at The Pennsylvania State University studying with distinguished professor Velvet Brown. I am currently pursuing a Master of Music in Music Performance studying with Professor Lance LaDuke. I play euphonium, trombone, tuba and piano and can teach all four. The struggling student is just as capable of loving music, just as much as the accomplished one. As I mentioned earlier, all students learn at different paces, so I teach each student as close as humanly possible to their level. For beginning students, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has a grasp on the fundamentals of performance, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital or NYSSMA solo. After the student moves on from basic method books, I introduce more trombone-specific books such as Arban's Trombone Method Book and Rochut's Melodious Etudes for trombone. For adults, I like to find out what kind of music they want to play and plan my lesson accordingly to skill level. Read More

However, if the student or parent has another book they feel would be better for their growth, I am always open to suggestions.
