I am a Highly trained student of “ Belle Canto” singing. This is the study of classical voice focusing on beautiful tone and fluidity in all styles. I sang and still sing rock and jazz regularly. My teaching started in my undergrad, about 5 years ago when I was required to take a Vocal Pedagogy class as part of my major. From there I fell in love with teaching. I was able to expand on my love as a substitute teacher at Rabun Gap Academy in Rabun Gap Georgia in 2012. There I taught five girls ranging from 8-15. I began teaching voice lessons my senior year of high school. When I got to college I began work as a show choir director in Hartford, CT. I have learned so much from my students. I have learned to teach in a way that students of all ages will understand. An example of this is teaching a young student how to use their head voice when singing high notes.
