I am a graduate of LIU Post who holds a Bachelors of Music in Music Education, Trombone Studies. During my time at LIU, I spent time taking lessons in clarinet, tuba, baritone horn/euphonium, piano, and trumpet. I am currently a Chorus/General Music teacher in Roosevelt. I have been regularly teaching Euphonium, Tuba, and Trombone since 2020. I was primary Euphonium staff at 3 High Schools and 5 middle schools. I've taught ages 10-70, and my students regualrly find success at both solo and ensemble competitions, as well as regional and all state bands. I teach a wide range of materials, from method books and solos, to pop songs and marching tunes. For beginning students, I focus on the very first fundamentals of playing trombone and music which consists of simple music theory and fundamental technique of playing the trombone. Once those fundamentals are introduced and the students shows progression, I will assign etudes and solo repertoire to help improve on musicality and technique.
