Instruments: Saxophone

I have been teaching students of varying age levels for the last decade. I believe it is essential to remember not all students will learn similar material in an idential manner. I base my materials depending on who my student is, what level they are at, their interests, and their goals.  We will focus on building a proper foundation and every aspect of music making including posture, embouchure, breath support, articulation, phrasing, intonation, performances, and more.  Every student will have lessons directly tailored toward their needs. I usually begin with a methods book such as the Rubank Elementary Methods, scales, and a solo matching ability level. Read More

I am a licensed music teacher in Ohio, and have experience as a band director. I emphasize both solo and ensemble playing with my students. Read More

Lessons should be a combination of fundamental musical skills and other types: such as band music being worked on, solo pieces for competitions, and music chosen simply for enjoyment. Read More
