I use many different books, learning by ear, learning by youtube, learning by rout, and I have developed my own music writing technique which decodes any song at any level to a much easier level because all students are unique, and deserve to have a teacher who can reach them. He completed his Masters degree in flute performance at the New England Conservatory of Music in 2018. Dr. Susan Rotholz, the principal flutist for the NY Pops is his current instructor along with Dr. Marie Kenote. He received his B.M. in Flute Performance from Nyack College School of Music in 2015, where he studied under the direction of Dr. Marie Herseth Kenote. Dr. Kenote is an NEC alumni and a member of the New York Philharmonic, where she was a substitute flutist for 20 years under the baton of Leonard Bernstein. Read More

My teaching style allows the child to have fun while they learn their instrument, but I emphasize a strong practice regiment. Your child will understand that while learning music and an instrument can be fun, there will be some work involved if they want to become great. Gaining a full understanding of the student and their needs is the most effective way for me to cater my instruction. (I should note that I have experience teaching recorder and piano to a student with autism as well). At the end of each lesson, I like to de-brief with the parents about the student's progress that day and to discuss their assignment for the week.
