I like to first access the student and their proficiency level. Once I discover your weak points I focus on them and drill them to perfection. Once we have those down. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. My lessons are not built for me to tell the student what to do, but rather learn how they learn and research the best practices for reaching that student.
