Although building technique and comfort are extremely important, I find that the most essential aspect of learning an instrument is to study the music that you love, and I'm definitely open to adding a bit of musical theory to every lesson if the student is interested. Since 1993, I have been teaching private lessons to low brass students ranging from grade 5 through college.
