Generally, I work with the student to come up with a set of goals to work towards achieving. I teach the fundamentals of the instrument through learning songs that are of interest to the student. I am an enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructor who loves sharing my love of music with students. In 2011 I graduated from Haverford College as a Music Minor and History Major. I write songs constantly and have performed hundreds of times as both a solo artist and with bands that I have formed. I have performed in Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California, North Carolina, Texas and Louisiana. I teach beginning, intermediate and advanced students in intense private lessons, using traditional and non-traditional methods.   The focus can be Jazz, Classical, Brazilian Choro, Klezmer and other World musics.   I love to figure out how someone learns, how he responds to music, what methods are the most appropriate. I am an instructor whose own passion and personal relationship with music allows for a one-of-a-kind student-teacher experience. I attended Loyola University New Orleans as a Jazz Studies major from 2008-2011, taking a 3 year sabbatical to perform and tour with the two bands I co-founded. Both of these groups commanded a prolific performance load in and around the greater New Orleans area and surrounding cities and states. In 2017, after returning to Loyola, I became the premiere graduate of the new Bachelor of Science in Popular and Commercial Music program, where I received my knowledge of the business side of the music industry, all the while never ceasing my musical performance.
