The most important things for any classical guitarist are: Mauro Giuliani’s right hand arpeggio studies, Matteo Carcassi’s Etudes, Fernando Sor’s etudes among exercises I’ve learned and created personally. Other great rescources are Scott Tennant’s Book “Pumping Nylon” and Pepe Romero’s book “La Guitarra”, which are about $20 a book. Read More

I love to watch students peel back the layers of the onion and discover how their favorite artists make music, from learning common chord progressions to transcribing solos note-for-note to imitating playing styles.
