Memorization of key signatures and scales are very important to the student's overall success. I utilize a method for memorizing key signatures which will decrease the memorization time and increaseretention. For beginning students I use the Essential Elements, or Standard of Excellence band methods. If a student is also involved in a school band program, I am happy to help them with school assignments. Once the student has gotten a handle of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce supplemental repertoire in line with students interest to further support and engage my students. After graduating in 2013 I have taught more than 300 hours of private music lessons to students of all ages.
