I am a native of Russia. In 2001 I moved to the United States. In 2005 I became a US citizen. I studied music for seven years to earn my Bachelor of Arts degree in vocals and piano. I am a strong believer in students taking charge of their learning, so I like to have my students choose a piece of music of their choice, and I will pick another piece of music that I believe suits their voice. For Beginners I focus on the fundamentals: instrument skills, posture, bow hold, left-hand placement, and how to produce a sound. I use a lot of repetition and review to build muscle memory, and we often learn some music by ear until that memory forms. Students may learn by ear with the bow or start reading music while plucking, but I try to introduce the bow as soon as possibleafter all, its the fun part! Read More

I have been learning piano for more than twenty years and flute about ten years. I teach individual lesson privately or at a music center; I also teach group lesson at schools or some welfare organisations. Among my students. there are students from less than 3 years old to more than 30 years old. I love teaching both adults and kids.
