Every child has their own way of learning. Some are visual, others aural, verbal or kinesthetic. As a teacher I will adapt my lessons to each child needs. I have been teaching music in public schools for the last 5 years. I graduated from Keene State College in 2013 with a degree in Music Education and a focus on Instrumental Music. In 2016 I went to and graduated from the US Army School of Music as a tenor saxophone player. During my time at the school of music I also played the alto and baritone saxophones. The method of teaching is as follows: 1) assess where the student is in music and in life, 2) ask about goals in music, 3) formulate objective to reach those goals, 4) rethink things when needed (students aren't cookies, so I can't use a cookie cutter). I do focus on things in order though. If you don't know your fundamentals, then that's where we start no matter what.
