Music is a passion of mine, and Im so thankful I have the opportunity to share it with others! In 2013 I graduated from Bryan College with a BS in Piano Performance. I was blessed with many performance opportunities during college, including piano recitals, musical showcases, accompanying performers and chamber ensemble music. Although I enjoy performing, teaching is my first passion. Since beginning teaching during my senior year of high school, I have continued to grow in knowledge and skill so that I can be the most effective piano teacher for all ages. Read More

Helping students achieve their specific goals is very important to me! If they are passionate about a particular style of music, composer, or piece, I will help them reach that goal! I am willing to meet them wherever they are musically. I think it is important for the student to work on a variety of styles and pieces at any given time at their level, so they have a diverse musical palette. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, its important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. This is encouraged by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. And realistic practice time at home. By acknowledging their accomplishments, the students desire to progress grows immensely, making students eager to learn more. Learning what inspires the student allows me to give them a customized piano session that fits their wants and needs. Read More

My teaching journey began in and throughout college in 2016, when I began teaching lessons privately, and after receiving my second degree, I teach from my in-home studio. Since I began studying at a young age, I have a special love and passion for helping my students with the piano. Teaching students from five years to 75 years, I am thankful my teaching experience has been very diverse; I enjoy the challenge of an advanced student, and the energy of a new student; always looking to bring on new students of all ages. I create a lot of my teaching material my self, and I developed at Indiana University a reading method that emphasizes the similarities between the clefs and allows the student to have a global view of the staff. My lessons are very energetic and fast paced, I normally prefer if parents are present in lesson taking notes, and when possible, I even teach the parents before I teach the students, so we have a consistent learning environment at home as well. I'm a deeply passionate, wholly enveloped musician who lives for the love of music. I absolutely love teaching others, however my golden strength is my ability to read my students from a lifelongs-experienced side, while fully understanding their difficulties to the most finite degree, no matter how frustrating and daunting the art of music can be- and teaching in the direction THEY wish. Creating music fueled by passion and the desire to express the otherwise ineffable emotions is the most powerfully freeing experience I think anyone can have, and it's my joy to enable others to enjoy it Read More
