Theory is emphasized as well as technique for both the piano and voice student. Most voice students will get a basic knowledge of music reading skills while piano students tend to have a bit more in depth studies. My belief is that anyone can play the piano, as long as they have the right motivation and are willing to devote time to daily practice sessions.
