I began my professional development in the Music College of Grodno, Belarus, where I studied under Sviatlana Keduk for four years (Graduated in 2010). I earned my Bachelors and Master's degree in classical music performance from Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, a highly respected and internationally recognised educational institution, where I studied under Prof. Yuri Sidorov (Graduated in 2015). As a concert performer on accordion and piano, I took part in various competitions and gave recitals performing (as a soloist and as an ensemble participant) on stages of some European countries, Belarus, Russia, Japan, USA and Canada. For beginning piano students, I use a series of books designed for beginners called Dozen a Day. It is very organized and it teaches the student in a very clear way. For my trumpet students I use Arbans, Clarkes. Schlossberg, and 45 years of experience playing trumpet. As to a philosophy of teaching, I believe in never ever being mean to the student as that causes a negative experience. Instead of the mean strict scolding method, I prefer an upbeat positive 'you can do it ' approach!! Read More

I recommend students who are beginners to utilize Alfred's Basic Piano Library Course (four levels) and Five-Star Solos, as these two method books have the organized systems and clear protocols to let players progress yet can review the fundamentals at the same time. For intermediate level, I prefer Alfred's Premier Piano Course and Basic Adult Country Book. I also recommend Contemporary Piano literature Book 2, Broadway Classics from the Young Pianist's Library Volume A, and the FJH Pianist's Curriculum Recital Book. Read More

My teaching style is very organized, structured, but also with a creative approach. I believe in having fun while learning, but I do hold young artists accountable to accomplishing their weekly assignments/goals. My style has been developed over three decades, and I tailor my approach by getting to know each student individually. I take time to observe and understand the student's thinking style, learning style, method of communication, strengths, weaknesses, and motivation. Read More

Im a very go with the flow type of teacher. I will always cater to my students needs, so if that means sticking with one song for a year, thats what we will do. What I dont want to happen is for music to become a chore, so if we find that something isnt working, I have no problem switching it up. Any progress we make in lessons is good progress, and I will make sure to acknowledge that. Read More

I also love giving my students lessons from time to time that a regular course wouldn't offer, especially when it comes to knowing what is of higher priority to learn, and when it comes to tools for the self-training that a student has to go through every week. I know that I take up only 1 hour of their time per week, and so I cheer them on towards a week filled with musical self-enrichment. Read More
