At the age of 17, I flew to Hollywood, CA to attend Musicians Institute where I studied Bass Guitar Performance. Learning from and playing with some of the best musicians in the business was amazing. I left school to hit the road with my first professional band. I spent the next 20+ years writing, recording and touring all over the country. I was lucky enough to be in a few bands that landed indie recording contracts, which allowed me to tour nationally doing original music, with songs I had written being played on radio and on TV shows across the country. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with the Alfreds Basic Piano Library method and theory books. Ideally, a new song is assigned every week and the student will practice daily. During lessons we will review the piece that the student has practiced, I will provide feedback, and we will move forward to a new skill. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

With Theory book we are drawning notes, do excircise and play games. My intermediate level students can pick a song they would like to lern. With this in mind, I work with the student to find songs or pieces that they want to try and sing. If it is an appropriate level of difficulty, we will work on it straight away. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching students from ages 4 to 20 to sing and play instruments because if you're not having fun when you're doing music, you're not doing it right.
