Once progression and consistency has been developed I always encourage my students to share what they have learned in to a recital performance. This allows us to get acquainted with the instrument and some terminology that may be a bit foriegn for some students. This also provides an opportunity to learn how to read basic notes and chords which will highly accelerate our learning process. My number one goal is to help my students accomplish their musical dreams, whether that be a classical pianist, a pop singer, the front person for a rock band, write songs or compose music for film, or just sing their favorite song of all time, whatever it takes, I will make sure that we get to the musical destination. I love music and have studied piano since I was six years old.  I also studied organ and clarinet briefly.  My degrees are in Psychology and Communications.  I worked for state and federal government agencies and was a writer and producer for CNN/Atlanta for ten years.  I enjoy teaching piano and now have six students ranging in age from 4 to 36 years of age.  I also enjoy tennis and am a former law student, but found the latter not to my liking.
